Tuesday is the first day of Fall. The Summer was different this year but we made the best of it, and now it’s time to get going with what’s become most peoples favorite season. BUT before we go, I’d like to run down my favorite beauty items from the Summer. These are not exclusive to the heat and I’ll be using many moving forward to colder temps, but they definitely made my beauty regimen a little more seamless! Here we go!
FOUNDATION! Fenty Beauty’s Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Long Wear Foundation is a holy grail product of mine. My skin is extremely oily and this kept me semi matte all day, even on those hot photo days! If you have normal skin, this maybe drying but I honestly love a soft matte face beat.
CONCEALER! NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. Now, I don’t use to conceal my imperfections but it’s a perfect under eye highlight. Glides on very gently, smooth to the skin and no creasing. The formula is very easy to work in, without to much tugging to the eye area.
SKINCARE! The E.L.F Acne Fighting Spot Gel Treatment is simplicity in the best form. Literally I would roll (yes, it’s a rollerball) this product on a cystic pimple before bed and there would be visible reduction the next day. My husband even started using it on the occasional imperfection. Did I mention, it’s like 3.00?!?
HAIR! I wore my usual wash and go a lot this summer and when I was lazy, I would pull my hair back and call it a day! Where would I be without Goody hair ties?? I don’t know, but they are constantly trying to get away from me! I have probably 1 left out of a huge pack! Who can relate? For my actual curls, Dark and Lovely Moisture LOC spray was a must have! I’d use some water and spray this in my ponytail it would instantly be rejuvenated and juicy! Love the shine!
PERFUME! Dolce & Gabbana is the perfect everyday Summer scent. It lasted on me all day but is so very subtle that it is not offensive. It packed alot of punch but was just sweet enough to even wear at daytime. I am completely out of it!
While I used a plethora of items this summer, these were simple ones I used daily that helped with the heat but I can totally see continuing year round. What we’re some of your Summer favs? Let me know in the comments!
With the quarantine, my summer favs have definitely been different this year. I haven’t had my eyebrows threaded, nails done, and I haven’t been to the beauty shop. I’m not ready for the close contact yet. So mine are definitely leggings and head wraps…with the occasional spray of Prada’s Candy perfume. I’ve actually been rocking the Queen Bee Jelly brand head wraps you recommend on your social media. I love their prints and the ease of use. I’m so over summer….I welcome fall with open arms!!!!

Headwraps are a must! So glad you like them!!! It definitely has been a hard summer. I know some may say my choices are basic but they’re the grassroots things I use daily and basic is just fine! There hasn’t been need for much else. Come on Fall!!
