Texture and types, make an outfit come out right! It was shoot day for my blog and a lot of my Fall looks had not made an appearance. Shipping has been super slow these days, as I’m sure many of you know. I rummaged through my closet, uninspired and pissed, thinking about all the better options that were making their way to my home but not fast enough!
I remembered my trusty faux leather leggings from last year and a cardigan purchased on clearance to keep me warm in the office that I never touched….BAM! A look! I was so surprised at how much the color popped and I had the perfect earrings to compliment it.
These leggings are a staple, straight from Target and the quality is actually great for the price point. I couldn’t stay out of them last Fall and Winter and they’re still in great condition after machine washes! (Check the What I’m Loving Section on the Home Page). Black on black with a pop of color always translates into clean, polished style no matter the price point. This outfit was a total of 30.00! That’s right…..All 3 pieces. My blog will always advocate shopping your closet and using what you have…Foremost, because it’s true and I find that out constantly, over and over.
I was so worried about what was coming that I didn’t see what was right in front of me! Now there’s the POINT! Get it? Not only in this but so many other avenues! Apply it!

Come through color! Like I said before…you’re good for a pop of color. Don’t even mention shipping delays! The items that aren’t as important come in a day but the items you need take weeks! Damn you COVID! Lol Shopping your closet is such a great idea. I still have clothes with tags from 2 years ago!

Hi Jessica! Let me say, I love your relaxed, ‘just sitting down’ photo! 😃…a little leather or a lot is always the perfect ‘addition or the whole look’!! If you pull up ‘classic women looks’….leather will be there! Jessica you’re definitely in tuned with the fun and beauty of clothes! In Autumn, I’ve always enjoyed looking in my closet to see what can be added, what colors are needed.. and I love boots!! Jessica, in the early/mid 80’s I worked downtown in the ‘Rock’.. I learned through one of my magazines…you need these basic colors in slacks: black, brown, gray, and navy ( I also love winter white)… OK stop ✋🏾 LaDon..😀… got to remember to check out your next post!

I was experiencing the same thing waiting for packages and all that jazz. Thank you for the reminder to use what I have cause its more than enough. I love your leggings and that they have more of a liquid appearance than regular faux leather.
