Life…..happens! Literally, I’ve been so busy and it makes it seriously difficult to keep it together. Family, career, blogging and just peace of mind. I posted an IG story this weekend of me and my son, literally still in pajamas at 3:00 pm and just having a good time. I got so many positive inbox messages about it, I felt compelled to carve out a little time to squeeze in this blog post today. It won’t be super in depth but let’s go!
If you can take anything from this post, take this, concentrate on the positives in every situation. This weekend, I thought to myself, the house is a mess and I really need to clean up. Instead of dwelling on that, I thought to myself, my kitchen is a mess because I cooked several meals for my family this week, which is awesome. The living room is tore up, but hey, my 19 month old is happy and active, this is a plus. My husband has been working 6 days a week since the pandemic and had a Saturday off finally! I was not about to spend the day cleaning, we focused on being together… IN THE MESS.
I usually make it a point to post on Monday a new photo to my Instagram at a minimum, rather I can get a blog post or up or not. However, I didn’t get to shoot last week, so instead of getting down on myself, I decided I will shoot when I can and the content will be great. My blogging is something that brings me joy, I refuse to get in a mind frame that causes me to stress about it.
I use these 2 examples to say, give yourself some GRACE in everything that you do. Life comes at you fast and you can’t be everywhere and do everything for everybody at once. Look at the positives and squeeze in the good times whenever you can, at whatever cost.
GRACE!!!! My new motto among others for 2020! It’s been stressful enough without adding more on with the “Super Mom” or “Super Wife” pressures. I’m glad you pointed out why you’re home was a mess….I’ve never thought of it that way. Another post win!!!!

Thanks boo! Girl, I had to share. I really sat and reflected. The “super” woman mantra is driving people crazy. I am an individual and doing my best….dassit! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Good message Jess. I had to learn this after Mamma pass, that I could just do NOTHING and it’s ok.

Exactly. No harm in just living in the moment. There will always be things to do.
