Long hiatus but I’m back and welcoming Spring! Did you guys clean? How was Easter? The last 2 months were filled with an array of grief, ambition, love, fear, and all the confusion that life shifts tend to bring out. In the month of March I attended 3 funerals within a 7 day span….I was shaken with how fragile life can be and how fast it tends to go by….I’m almost 40…my baby is almost half my body length….I’ve been married almost 11 years…..my 20 year high school reunion in less than a month away….what the hell have I been doing with my life and how do I plan to spend the remaining?!?! WHEW! But then I remembered, what will be…will be. I am capable…no challenge will go uncompleted…and I have all I need to curate the life I want….starting with a fabulous Spring and Summer 2022!!!
It’s my fav season, sweatshirts and legs!!! You guys know there is nothing I love more than a sweatshirt and short combo. It’s my fav Princess Diana look and she looked so effortlessly chic with biker shorts, oversized sweatshirt and bag. I duplicate this so much, even paired with a leather skirt. The prolonged cooler temps this year have been a dream to style nontraditional Spring items. I have not wore a floral yet and I’m glad about it! (no shade my Target little house on the prairie dress crew! LOL!)
Some styles never go away and/or resurface but one thing that is constant is YOUR OWN SIGNATURE style. When I think of my friends, I always think of their style and how even as the trends change, each of them interprets it and their personal look always shines through. Marquita is always tailored and fitted but sophisticated silhouettes….Whitney, blouses and sweet, flirty pieces….Robyn is bold, adventurous keeps looks you’ll never find! I could go on and on. I say that to illustrate that personal style, how you interpret inspiration and trends go hand and hand. When you mix all these variables, you will always be comfortable, stylist and confident.
