Comfort. February is always a busy month for me at work. As a Community Liaison seeking to increase the engagement of Black Americans with our local library system, Black History Month is HUGE! I put on a great event early in the month and went to countless others representing our organization. Needless to say, most days this entire month, I was eating badly, living off coffee and running around like a maniac!
My aim is to never let work tasks become overwhelming and stay on task. I love my job and want to keep it that way, so how I dress daily is important because it not only effects my mood but it’s a direct link to my creative expression. Everyday is different, so I might literally be at a 3 course business luncheon one day, and rolling a dolly with outreach supplies to load a van the next!
Thus, you will always catch me mixing styles of comfort and the luxe vibes that make me feel extraordinary on extra ordinary days!
Only a hoodie and leggings…..naw! Jay’s way kicks a casual slay up several notches by accessorizing from head to toe! Nothing compliments a cold day like a little faux fur! I took this awesome vest from H&M and layered it on top of this cool hoodie paying homage to Chanel. A cool hat to cover a days old bun, comfy Nike dunks and my classic flap….it’s a LOOK! Ready to get to work but dressed up enough to make a statement.
