Yeah, Get Somebody Else to Do It

SPRING FASHION!!! I hate it! Whew! Summer clothes, don’t want em! LOL!!! I had to get that out! I’ve mentioned more than once that I’m uninspired by these seasons and I enjoy the layers, textures that the colder months have to offer. You’ll notice the last blog post here on the site was during the Winter with a hoodie and fur vest! BUT…..since the transitional weather blues I was feeling are over….I enjoyed these Spring looks from my fav local Little Rock boutique Vogue Visage.

One way I got inspired was by trying something completely different. In comes these amazing cargo pants…oversized, synched at the waist and so cute! I paired them with a cute white bralette from last Summer (I need it in every color), dunks and cute bag….ready to go. Not my typical look, but honestly I’m known for wearing whatever I want! That’s my signature…never the same girl, I switch it up! I like the idea of using my clothes to explore all my personality traits. In this, I felt so sexy and current walking downtown. Lately, I’ve been trying my best to not only try new things, but stop many of the old habits that seemed to complicate daily life. Here are a few tips I’ve been trying to employ in order to reduce stress:

  1. STOP. Take a breath and eliminate tasks that aren’t necessary at the moment. If something drives up your anxiety, don’t do it.
  2. NO EXPLANATIONS. You feel how you feel and you don’t owe anyone a disclaimer about that unless it inadvertently affects their well being.
  3. JUST SAY NO. This is self explanatory…How many times a week are you doing things for others that you don’t want to do?
  4. GOALS. Write them down, complete tasks, mark them off, reward yourself.
  5. FIND JOY. Pour into hobbies, people and relationships that make you happy.

I love a high/low look and this playful tee that taunts designer brands, worked perfectly with my Chanel classic flap, neon skirt and low dunks for a comfy fun, vibe. This is just the type of combo for warm temps and errands.

In the upcoming heat of the Summer, cooler and calmer heads will prevail! Stop sweating and doing things that don’t serve your happiness.
