Trends…do you follow them? Do you find yourself only wanting a particular item because you see someone else in it? Do you rate what is stylish by popular music artists, actors and influencers? No? Well, confession….sometimes your girl gets caught up and I’m not ashamed to say it! LOL! But this doesn’t have to be a bad thing! You can find inspiration in what others wear and discover you really like things you never thought you’d wear! Lets talk about it!
I love to try new things and trends! I honestly rarely buy a new product that I haven’t researched or looked for a review on the internet! What a time to be alive! While, I always give myself props for being a leader and bouncing to the beat of my own drum….I get influenced while influencing! LOL!! One example is my look in this post! I never gave one thought to wearing a puffer coat, jacket or vest…..UNTIL…I saw my blogger friend Shanai on IG in black long puffer vest…I fell hard!!! (SEE LOOK HERE AND FOLLOW HER) I was like, omg! I have to find my version! I went on the hunt and found a killer deal on a tan color that was my vibe and a length suited to my body type.
Being a trend setter is cool, but taking someone else’s lead can be equally rewarding, especially when it comes out so well!

Being 64, I’ve had 45 + years of enjoying style. Mama’s Spiegel Catalog was my first ‘style ideas’ catalog; and it continued… magazines as well!! My go-to magazine now is InStyle Magazine.. love it!! Also, Talbot’s Catalog..
